The Role of Information Technologies in Business Operations

Abstract

The article substantiates the role of information technologies (IT) in the development of enterprises' production and economic activities. Based on the conducted research, it was found that global spending on the implementation of information technologies in enterprises is increasing. It is noted that most IT investments by foreign companies are directed toward the development of communication services, business process automation, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
