Abstract
The paper presents the results of obtaining and studying the physical and mechanical properties of biodegradable film materials based on polyvinyl alcohol with the addition of corn starch, sodium tetraborate, and glycerin. It was found that an increase in the concentration of sodium tetraborate and the aging of the films at a temperature of 433 K increases the tensile strength of the film samples. The results of the study of the obtained materials allow us to predict the possibility of their use as environmentally friendly packaging.
