Abstract

A serie of CeO2 materials and its composites with SBA-15 were obtained by decomposition of  cerium ammonium nitrate at different temperatures and tested as catlyst for cyclic carbonates production from CO2 and aminoalcohols. It was shown that reducing the decomposition temperature of cerium dioxide precursor  from 500 to 300℃ led to an increase in the conversion of 2-aminoethan-1-ol in the process of obtaining 1,3-oxazolidin-2-one under carbon dioxide pressure from 14 to 84%, which can be explained by an increase in defects with Ce3+ while for CeO2/SBA-15 composites are inactive due to the adsorption of 2-aminoethan-1-ol on silanol groups of the surface and the absence Ce3+ patricles in formed composites..
