The main purpose of this work is to study the replacement of linseed oil with rapeseed oil in the development of cold-applied bitumen roofing materials. The authors present the results of the research, namely, that with an increase in the content of rapeseed oil in binary mixtures with bitumen, the softening temperature and elasticity decrease, and penetration increases. Due to this, the cost of the finished product decreases. The authors found that adding rapeseed oil to bitumen increases its adhesion to hard surfaces. The work is relevant and requires further research.
