Abstract
The influence of a constant magnetic field on the polymerization of (meth)acrylic esters in composition with polyvinylpyrrolidone has been studied. It has been found that the magnetic field promotes complex formation, accelerates polymerization, and formation of a more ordered structure of copolymers. The obtained materials are characterized by increased hardness, heat resistance, hydrophilicity, and permeability for solutions of low molecular weight substances, making them suitable for application in the production of contact lenses and implants.
