Processing wild carrot pomace, which is a waste product of the pharmaceutical industry, into solid fuel is an urgent task. Since this raw material, when disposed of in landfills, decomposes with the release of harmful leachate, which negatively affects the environment, as stated in the article. The authors present a study of the kinetics of filtration drying of wild carrot pomace for the purpose of application in the development of technology for obtaining fuel briquettes, which are an alternative environmentally friendly solid fuel. The authors noted that the drying rate is affected by temperature, the rate of passage of the heating agent through the fixed layer of wild carrot pomace, and the height of the fixed layer, and proposed optimal drying parameters. It has been proven that with increasing speed and temperature of the heating agent, the drying process occurs faster. Therefore, this article presents experimental studies that are relevant and require further research in this area.
