Peers.International, the open peer review platform
Peers.International is an experimental open peer review platform and an international virtual community of reviewers, which was developed and supported within the project "Open Practices, Transparency and Integrity for Modern Higher Education" (OPTIMA, 618940-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP). The platform aims to introduce the practice of open peer review in Ukraine and support the implementation of the National Open Science Plan.
The OPTIMA project
The OPTIMA project aims to implement the ideas and practices of open science in Ukraine to improve the quality of educational services. The project's priorities include working with displaced Ukrainian universities, focusing on climate change issues, and inclusiveness through the use of modern information technologies. OPTIMA is funded by the EU under the Erasmus+ program. The project is coordinated by Lviv Polytechnic National University.
Open Science
Open science is a new approach to the scientific process based on open access to research outputs and cooperation between scientists and society, and is implemented through information and communication technologies. Open science is an important component of the EU's strategic vision, and the EU is making every effort to implement it as soon as possible. In the context of Ukraine, the full adoption of UNESCO's recommendations is considered an effective tool for rebuilding scientific systems affected by the war.
